Meet Walter Jordan

Walter Jordan is a author, speaker, and entrepreneur. His ministry is focused on developing and inspiring young people to learn more, do more and become more in order to fulfill their God-given right to WIN big.

He has been a basketball coach for the past 30 years,where he’s helped numerous kids receive Division 1 and 2 scholarships. His passion for basketball has been prevalent throughout his life. He is an Indiana High School Hall of Fame player at Northrop High School, where he led his team to a 29-1 record and the 1974 High School State Basketball Championships. Jordan was also named first-team Indiana All-State and All-Star (with Larry Bird) and Kentucky Derby All-American.His love for basketball continued in college, where he attended Purdue University and was a three-time All-Big Ten Performer, two-time team MVP and two-time team captain. In 2023, Walter was proudly inducted into the Purdue University Athletics class of 2022, Hall of Fame.

Beyond college, Walter has continued to instill his passion for basketball amongst the community.For 17 years he directed his “Future Stars/ARC Summer Youth Program.” Additionally, from 1980-1990 he founded and directed the “Parade of Stars,” an annual NBA sanctioned benefit all-star basketball game with a portion of the proceeds going to the Big Brother & Big Sisters and Allen County Society for Crippled Children & Adults).

Coach Jordan is also a mentor and leads youth conferences for young men ages 12-18. At these conferences, he helps teach both life and leadership skills.

Walter also has vast experience speaking and writing, and published his first book, Gracefully Broken: A Hall of Famer’s True Story” in 2021.

Coach Jordan is known for often saying to “Make It a WINNING DAY!” which can be done through GOD (all things are possible with him/nothing is without him); HARD WORK (it beats talent-every time over time); ATTITUDE (for it is everything & your choice); and LOVE (for it is the most motivating force in the world).
